Submission terms

1. What submitting means

You are pitching an invention or patent for editorial review. Kandula Mahesh reads every submission personally. If, in his judgement, it merits one, he may research it and write about it in a published Insight under his own byline. He may also decline without giving a reason. Submitting creates no obligation on either side: no obligation to publish, to respond within a time, to enter any business relationship, or to pay or be paid.

Your submission itself is never published. Its contents reach the public only as and if Mahesh quotes or summarises them within his own writing, with quotation clearly attributed to you in the credit mode you chose.

2. Strictly non-confidential

Everything you submit is received on a non-confidential basis. No duty of confidence, fiduciary duty, or obligation of non-use arises from submitting, from its review, or from any correspondence about it. Do not submit trade secrets or anything you must keep confidential.

If you have not yet filed a patent application: material quoted in a published Insight becomes public disclosure, which in most jurisdictions can defeat later patent claims. File first, submit second. The form repeats this warning when you indicate that no application has been filed.

3. Your assurances

You confirm that the submission is your own work or that you otherwise have the right to disclose it; that nothing in it is submitted in breach of a confidentiality obligation, employment agreement, or law; and that the contact details you provide are yours.

4. Quotation and credit

You grant permission for your submission to be quoted and summarised in Insights published on this site, credited in the mode you selected: full details, name only, initials, a pseudonym, or anonymously. The credit mode is honoured in the published text and in the publication's permanent records: where you chose a pseudonym or anonymity, your real name is not published.

Editorial policy: if a published Insight substantially derives from your submission, you are credited in your chosen mode and notified at the address you provided when it is published.

5. Your intellectual property stays yours

Submitting transfers no ownership. You keep all rights in your invention, your patent filings, and your text. The only permission you give is the quotation-and-credit permission in section 4.

6. Updating or withdrawing a submission

The private link emailed to you lets you check status and update your submission while it awaits or has been returned for more information. You may withdraw a submission at any time before an Insight about it is published by writing to info@kandulamahesh.com; it will be deleted. After publication, the published Insight remains published. Publication records on this site are append-only by design, but on request your credit will be changed to anonymous in a new version of the record.

7. Changes to these terms

A change to these terms produces a new dated version at a new address; this version remains readable here. Submissions are always governed by the version in force when they were made, which is recorded with the submission.
